Why Our Probiotics:

DDS Probiotics- A Name You Can Trust

Probiotics are widely recognised to help with many digestive disorders such as bloating, constipation, flatulence, irritable bowel syndrome and also bacterial imbalances causing candida. However probiotics are widely available from many sources and it can be confusing trying to decide which ones to buy. There are many products available over the counter that may also contain sugary yoghurts that not only add extra calories to your diet but may be costly per day and yet have a very low ratio of good bacteria contained within them.

At myinnerhealth.co.uk  we believe  in providing only premium quality products to our customers. We distribute a range of probiotics that have been manufactured using over 25 years of laboratory research and experience to ensure that the products contain the correct levels of bacteria with the correct strains of bacteria.  Probiotics can often be sold containing several million bacteria. Although this may sound impressive, if these bacteria are not stabilised in the correct way during manufacture, by the time they reach the intestine there may be very few bacteria left. Remember- they have to pass through the corrosive stomach acid and digestive enzymes that allow the body to break-down our food. During this process poorly manufactured probiotics may be broken down and be worthless to our system. That’s why the probiotics that we recommend contain billions not just millions of bacteria that are correctly manufactured in the right conditions (viable).

How and when to take probiotics

Healthcare professionals recommend probiotic supplements  for digestive disorders (including diarrhoea and  constipation), gastritis, lactose intolerance, gas, heartburn, irritable bowel syndrome, ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s disease, immune dysfunctions, candidia /thrush (yeast infection) and follow up to antibiotic therapy.
For chronic problems or prevention take the suggested dose once or twice a day. For acute situations or during antibiotic therapy it may be necessary to take the Probiotics three times a day. As a general rule Probiotics are taken in a morning before breakfast although it may be useful in some cases to take the Probiotics with food.

  • For irritable bowel syndrome (IBS): On a maintenance basis- take 2 capsules with at least 5 billion bacteria per day with or before food. During acute symptoms of IBS increase to 2 capsules 3 times a day.
  • For candida overgrowth: Take 2 capsules twice a day for 1 month, then reduce to 2 capsules daily for maintenance
  • For vaginal Yeast infections (thrush): Take 1 capsule twice a day until the infection has cleared then once a day for maintenance
  • For diarrhoea: Take 2 capsules 3 times a day with meals
  • For flatulence: Take 1-2 capsules between meals. Take a dairy free strain e.g. Probioplus DDS if you have established that your gas may be due to lactose intolerance
  • For constipation/ bloating: Take 2 capsules daily preferably before breakfast. (Initially the bloating may appear worse until the intestinal flora become balanced- usually within 1 week). Most people continue taking 2 capsules daily for maintenance.
  • For bad breath: Take 2 capsules daily before food
  • For antibiotic support: Take 2 capsules 3 times a day during the antibiotic treatment and for 1 week afterwards.
